Even though the PlayStation 5 released on November 12, 2020, in the U.S., it is still very difficult to purchase one. Online stock constantly sells out and it is nearly impossible to walk in a store and purchase it.
I was lucky to buy one a few weeks after its release. I specifically remember that it was late at night and I forced my two younger brothers to help me keep refreshing Walmart's page to see the elusive "Add to Cart" button. After nearly 45 minutes, we were able to add it to the cart and purchase it.
A few days later, on December 1, 2020, I finally had the PlayStation 5 in my hands. I have loved every minute I've played it, whether it be "Destiny 2" or the new "Call of Duty: Vanguard."

My roommate, Jimmy Lynch, was also lucky enough to buy a PlayStation 5 soon after its release. I recently sat down with him to discuss his experiences with the PlayStation 5.
Enjoyable Video Games
If you buy a PlayStation 5, it is important to buy some fun video games to play.
When I asked Lynch, a 20-year-old junior at Loyola University Chicago, what PlayStation 5 games he has, he responded: "I like the NHL games, I have 'Madden,' .... I also got 'NBA 2K' and ... 'Spider-Man: Miles Morales.'"
My favorite exclusive game on the PlayStation 5 is easily "Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart." I beat this game in two days because it was so addicting. The "Ratchet & Clank" video game series has always been one of my favorites, and "Rift Apart" lived up to my expectations.
The Highs and Lows Podcast
I used Lynch's interview to complete a short podcast episode for my reporting class. We have recently learned how to edit audio using Audacity, and I am really proud of how this podcast turned out. You can listen to it using the SoundCloud link below.
